Winners will be announced on the Fair Main Stage and on the DC State Fair website.

Awards Given 

Blue, red, and white ribbons will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Best Slime

Judging Criteria

  • Satisfying Sound: 20%

  • Appearance: 20%

  • Texture: 20%

  • Stretchiness: 20%

  • Uniqueness / Creativity: 20%

 

Contest Rules

  1. This event is open to anyone under the age of 13.

  2. Entries must not use any of the below additives in ingredients:

    1. borax (any pure or high concentration of borax diluted in liquid)

    2. thermo-chromatic pigment (heat sensitive color changing powder)

    3. Aerosol sprays or Aerosol strings (silly string)

    4. any poisonous, explosive substance, or any harmful chemicals

    5. any liquid detergents

  3. All entry registrations must include ingredients/materials used for the creation of entry.

  4. You may enter up to two entries. Please submit a separate entry form for each entry.

  5. A maximum of 10 ounces of slime may be entered.

  6. Slime entries are to be submitted in sealed plastic bags or glass containers with lids. Do not write your name on the container.

  7. Entries should not contain parts that expose the public, judges, or volunteers to injury (i.e. sharp edges or points).

  8. All entries may be picked up from the DC State Fair on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Entries not picked up will be donated.

  9. The DC State Fair is not responsible for any damage to entries.
