Since 2010, the DC State Fair has held a free showcase of the region’s agricultural, culinary, and artistic talents.
History
The first DC State Fair was held August 28, 2010. It was established by three food and garden bloggers to showcase the talents of the District and engage artistic, agricultural and culinary-minded residents in friendly competition.
The Fair has been held in different neighborhoods across the District:
2010 - Columbia Heights Day Festival (Columbia Heights)
2011 - Crafty Bastards (Adams Morgan)
2012 - Barracks Row Fall Festival (Capitol Hill)
2013 - Barracks Row Fall Festival (Capitol Hill)
2014 - Old City Farm and Guild (Brentwood)
2015 - Old City Farm and Guild (Brentwood)
2016 - NoMa Junction at Storey Park (NoMa)
2017 - Waterfront Station (Southwest D.C.)
2018 - Waterfront Station (Southwest D.C.)
2019 - Gateway DC on the St. Elizabeths Hospital Campus (Congress Heights)
2020 - Virtual
2021 - Virtual and Contests
