Judging Criteria

  • Workmanship: 25%

  • Creativity: 25%

  • Appearance: 25%

  • Difficulty: 25%

 

Contest Rules

  1. Contest entries for this contest may be any sort of creation meeting the rules of the DC State Fair.

  2. An item may qualify for the best duct tape category if it is at least 90 percent made of duct tape.

  3. Items may be made with any color duct tape.

  4. All entries are limited to a maximum size of 36 inches in any direction.

  5. All entry registrations must include ingredients/materials used for the creation of entry.

  6. Entries must be original works of art in specified media, and completed within the past two years, and not previously exhibited at the DC State Fair. All works must be original and cannot use published patterns or be copies/prints of your original work.

  7. Entries should not contain parts that expose the public, judges, or volunteers to injury (i.e. sharp edges or points).

  8. All entries may be picked up from the DC State Fair on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Entries not picked up will be donated.

  9. The DC State Fair is not responsible for any damage to entries.

  10. You may not enter if you are a professional craftsperson or artist.
