Nominations:

• Nominators must be residents of the District of Columbia, as well as, Montgomery County, Arlington County, Prince George’s County, and Alexandria.

• Individuals and business owners may nominate themselves.

Nominees

• All nominees for Best Bike Shop Bookstore, Brewery, Cocktail, Call Box, Community Garden, Hardware Store, Little Free Library, Park, Public Art/Mural, Urban Farm and Personal Garden must be physically located in DC. 

• All nominees for Best Bartender and Chef must work and/or live in DC

• All nominees for Best Beard and Podcast, must be produced by a DC resident.

• All nominees for Best Book must be authored by a DC resident OR be about DC.

• All submissions should be accompanied by contact information for the nominee, when possible.

• All nominees will be contacted to approve their nomination. Any contact information provided is appreciated.

Contest format: 

• Approved entries will be placed as photos on the DC State Fair Facebook Page. “Likes” will count as public votes for each entry.
