Do you think your beer has what it takes to bring home the blue ribbon?
It is time for the DC State Fair’s annual Homebrew Competition where homebrewers from around the District will showcase their best recipes and compete for prizes and bragging rights.
Beers will be judged in five main flavor profile categories, including:
- Roast, Smoke, and Wood
- Fruit and Spice
In addition, one beer will be awarded “Best in Show.” Special recognition will also be given to beers brewed with “Homegrown” DC ingredients.
To enter, drop off two UNMARKED bottles of your brew (12 oz to 25.4 oz (750 ml) at either of the below drop off spots.
Drop Off Spot #1 – Right Proper Brewing (624 T Street NW), between 2-5 pm, Friday August 28 only!
Drop Off Spot #2 – 3 Stars Brewing (6400 Chillum Place NW), the homebrew shop, any other times. They are open 3 – 8 pm on Friday, August 28 and 10 am – 5 pm on Saturday, August 29.
Note: Please be sure to include a piece of paper identifying your beers with your name and the name of the entry; the paper must be secured with a rubberband, any bottles with glue will be disqualified.
