Yesterday’s third annual DC State Fair was amazing. The fellows at the Barracks and the Barracks Row Fall Festival crew were supportive and awesome; the location couldn’t have been better; and neighbors from DC, Virginia, and Maryland came out to enjoy the Fair and its many contests, demonstrations, and other activities!
After a slow start because of the massive number of Pie and Cupcake Contest entries, the Fair went almost too quickly. But of course, we’re still working on all the post-Fair details–collecting winners into an announcement post, alerting absentee winners of their prizes, and recovering from the Fair itself (every muscle in this DC State Fairy’s body is sore and stiff from hauling tents, table, and DC’s heaviest fruits and vegetables!).
Keep your eye out on our blog, State of the Fair newsletter, Facebook, Twitter, and elsewhere for our announcements. Just because the Fair’s over for this year doesn’t mean the celebration of DC residents’ talents will stop–we have more in store for you throughout the year!
